Privacy
FoxiFly is all about its users and the great community it creates. As FoxiFly is a collective browsing community, each members browsing contributes to other members browsing opportunities through the toolbar and as such, we realise some people want to know what information is recorded. We value our users greatly, so here is a list of some common questions and answers about your privacy. Our integrity and users are everything to us, so below is a no nonsense FAQ which we hope will put any concerned minds to rest.

Frequently Asked Questions
What information does FoxiFly collect?
As FoxiFly is a collective browsing community, each users browsing gives other users new browsing opportunities. To do this our toolbar will let our site know where your browsing by sending us information about the URL you are currently at and the URL of the page that sent you there if there was one. That's it! Information about your browsing is only reported while you are logged onto the toolbar, if you log off from it then no information is sent at any time.

What type of URLs does FoxiFly save?

We will not save any URLs that are not a standard http connection. Any URLs such using a secured connection such as 'https' or any FTP connections will not be saved and is instantly discarded. We will also not save any URLs that require a username or password to access eg. http://username:password@http://www.website.com.

Does FoxiFly share any information on where I browse with anyone else?

Absolutely not! Our integrity is everything to us and we want all our users to be assured that their browsing information is used just to help other members!

Can I make it so that I can still use FoxiFly but not let people see where I browse?

Yes! In your 'My FoxiFly' section you can adjust your settings so that no public person, or even your FoxiFly friends can see your browsing.

Did you really try putting gravy on pasta once?

Sadly I did and that was one mistake i'm only ever making once! The taste was indescribable and not in the good way :)

So should I really be concerned about FoxiFly?

Not at all. If you do not want any information about your browsing saved at anytime, simply log off from the toolbar. If you just don't want anyone seeing where your browsing but still want to use the toolbar, simply adjust your privacy settings in your 'My FoxiFly' section.

Do browsers usually record where you go and send that information?

Actually yes. Most browsers have by default 'Phishing Protection' enabled which sends the URL of the page you are currently at to their respective master servers to detect if the website is a part of a phishing scam. Information is not usually saved though and as such cannot be used for collective browsing communities such as FoxiFly.
